HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15m-ed0023dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The F6, F7, and F8 keys on my keyboard are broken which is inconvenient because they function as volume up, down and microphone mute/unmute respectively. All other function keys work normally. I am trying to figure out the cause and hopefully a solution to make these keys work again. Here's what I know:

-F6, F7, F8 (Fn pressed or not) do not register when pressed during a keyboard test using HP Hardware Diagnostics for Windows.

-F6, F7, F8 (Fn pressed or not) do not register when pressed in my computer's BIOS menu before booting windows.

- I have reinstalled my computer's keyboard drivers to no avail.

-I have reset my computer's OS to no avail.

-I have scanned my computer three times using the system file checker and have repaired file corruption when it was detected on the first scan.

(Apologies if I explained any of this wrong I'm not great with computers.)

It seems like I've tried almost everything that most forms suggest. Is there anything that I'm missing that might solve the issue or can I confidently conclude that there is something physically wrong with my keyboard's hardware? Are there any ways to determine if this is a hardware or software issue? Please let me know if you have any insight.
