HP 15-cs3079nr

Hey everyone I'm trying to figure out what causing my sister HP 15-cs3079nr from shutting down. I'm unable to run the diagnostics program since it turns off after 30 seconds. I've replaced the thermal paste, opened the laptop and cleaned out any dust and tried to run windows recovery. I'm not sure if it the heatsink, the fan or the battery. Any help or tips is appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your notebook keeps shutting down, I am glad to assist you.

Try these steps:

  • If the computer is a consumer one then run diagnostics on it from this link: http://hp.care/2uoegKc and follow the steps under the option “Run the Extensive Test (2 hours or more)”

If it passes, then update the bios and chipset drivers by using HP Support assistance

Here are the steps:- Click here

Keep me posted.

Hi, I tried that step however it still keep shutting down after a couple of seconds of being turned on. I couldn't run any program without the pc shutting down seconds after booting to the home screen. I also made sure the power is plugged in.
