I went to close the lid on my HP x360 Envy laptop and it had a little resistance and I heard a cracking noise. A broken screw fell out from the right hinge. If I tried to close the lid, it would start to separate from the screen. I had to transport it with the lid open to the repair shop. They told me that there was a 99% chance that the screen would break if he tried to repair the hinge. That would cost another $200 for me to fix it. (Which I can NOT afford) I bought this laptop brand new, and it wasn't cheap. I thought it would last me a long time. It has Windows 11 upgrade capability, so it's far from DEAD. I understand there is a Class Action Lawsuit against HP for the defective hinge. What will HP do to compensate me for repairs? And/ Or do I need to join the class action lawsuit and how?
