Hello! I bought this HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx from 2023, but now it doesn't last for half an hour. I can't even use it for schoolworks now. If I want to use it for more than 30 minutes,  I'll have to charge while using it, and I've been afraid that I am making it even worse. What should I do? I really need this laptop for my school works. I can't even use it outside. Please help me.  I beg you! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! Should i change y battery or what?? Please, I really need to fix this.

Hi @lemon18

The battery has probably lost its full charge capacity. Perform a battery test by turning on the device and pressing the F2 key several times. After the test is complete, check if there is a fault ID. Also look in the test details and see what the battery's full charge capacity is.

Hi! Thank you for the response. I tried doing what you told me to do, and the result was in that image link. What does that mean? Can you please help me out again? Thank you very much.

I apologize for the link if it can't be opened, I'll type it here. So, the result was something like this:

Battery Check: Primary - OK (0)

Primary: Logic State - OK (0), Charge State - OK (0)

That was the result. Please, I am asking for your help once again. I really need to fix this laptop of mine. Thank you for your time.

the test allows you to see the details, although it shows the battery OK, it may be that the total charge capacity is for example at 50% so even if you charge the battery to 100% it only really works at 50% and that is why it lasts a short time.

Try calibrating the battery
