I bought an HP Omen 16 gaming laptop.
The problem is erroneous trackpad. Sometime it moves properly, sometimes it is erroneous. Not much good feedback.
Also, there is problem with the left click. It sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. Right click works properly all the times.
My Laptop is still under warranty. Can I get the trackpad replaced for free as my laptop is still under warranty?
What should I do? Can it be fixed with software? or Should I replace the trackpad?
Thanks

Hi @CreativeArts,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing Touchpad issues with the HP Omen Laptop and the touchpad is unresponsive or erratic.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
If issue still persist then test the touchpad using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Start or restart the computer.
- Press F2 repeatedly during start up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
- Select Component Tests > Touchpad
- Click Run Once.
Once the test is completed, results are displayed on the screen.
If the test passes, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default using Reset PC inside Windows, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue. (backup your data )
If you're unable to resolve the issue on your own, it's a good idea to contact HP support or visit an authorized service center for assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
