The USB drive has stopped working. All of sudden it no longer will recognize any devices I add to it. Says "the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. 

 

Recommendation: Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly. " 

 

I have tried this with three different USBs so I think the port may be broken or something with the computer, please help.

Is the issue the same on all USB ports or just one type? (USB 3.0 type-A or USB 3.1 Type-C

 

Why not use the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility component tests?

 

Power on and immediately tap the F2 key to invoke the utility.

 

You can test the USB ports and get an error code if one is possible to post here. .
