Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

My HP laptop does not charge my battery to 100% anymore it's down to 62% charge.  Yesterday it was 64% and the day before I believe it was 67%. Everything appears the same set up as I had it set on battery saver. Just a few weeks ago it was at 100% charge.  What is the problem?

Thank you for all of your help. I downloaded all the updates and ran a battery test,HP LAPTOP BATTERY DEFECTIVE REPLACE.jpgHP LAPTOP BATTERY NEEDS REPLACEMENT.jpgHP LAPTOP BATTERY (NOT ORDERABLE).jpg and it came back that my laptop battery was indeed defective. There was no replacement by HP available and the warranty has already expired so I'll check with my computer geek friend to see if he has one that I can put in my laptop or if I can buy one somewhere else, thanks again for all your help.

Hello @dannyfchevalier

Thanks for reporting.

Charged (62%)
Primary Battery: Very Weak
Design Capacity: 3630 mAh
Full Charge Capacity: 1952 mAh (53%) !

The battery already has a few charging cycles, but it has lost a lot of capacity overall, so it needs to be replaced.

I can help you to find the right replacement battery.

In which country do you live ? It is about an order possibility.

Kind regards
