Try these steps:

Accessing HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI

  1. Turn Off the Laptop: Ensure that your laptop is turned off completely.
  2. Turn It On and Access UEFI: Power on your laptop and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  3. Select Diagnostics: Press F2 to open the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.

Running Diagnostics Tests

Select Component Tests: In the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI menu, select "Component Tests" to diagnose specific hardware components.

Test Options: You'll see several types of tests, such as:

  • System Tests: A comprehensive check of major system components.
  • Memory Test: To check RAM.
  • Hard Drive Test: To verify the storage drive's health.
  • Battery Test: To assess the battery's condition.
  • CPU Test: To evaluate the processor's status.
  • Additional Tests: For components like keyboard, touchpad, and wireless modules.

Start a Test: Choose the test you need based on the symptoms you are observing and follow the on-screen instructions to start it.

Review Results: Once the test is complete, review the results displayed on the screen. It might inform you of detected issues or suggest further actions.

Responding to Test Results

  • Pass: If the test results show "Pass" and your laptop continues to have issues, the problem might be software-related.
  • Fail: If any test shows "Fail", note down the failure ID and component. This information will be helpful if you need to contact HP Support.

I hope this helps.
