my laptop hp 430g4 battery suddenly stopped charging, the battery icon shows plugged in but it won't charge beyond zero(0%).

Hello Mr/Mrs, I'm not a HP assistant, but I work with computers. The Li-Ion Batteries, those used in notebooks have a limiter, and when the battery gets under 1%,  in other words 0%, they won't charge anymore. It is called a safety measure, to avoid instabilities related to these king of batteries that misbehave under certain circumstances, included too low capacity in the battery. Maybe you forgot to charge it on time and it went too low.
