Hi @Anup20

Welcome to the HP support community.
Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to diagnose and potentially fix the issues:

1. Check the HP Pen's Battery

The HP Pen usually operates on a battery that needs to be charged. Since the amber light during charging isn't working, it could indicate a problem with the charging process.

  • Make sure the pen is correctly attached to the charging area (if you're using the charging dock or a magnetic charger, ensure it's properly aligned).
  • Try charging the pen using a different power source (like a different USB port or a different adapter) to rule out an issue with the charger or port.
  • Check the pen's battery status. If you have an HP pen with a removable battery, try replacing it with a new one.

2. Inspect the Charging Dock/Port

If the pen uses a charging dock or specific port on the laptop, ensure the dock or the port is clean and free of debris.

  • Clean the charging port on both the pen and the laptop gently with a soft cloth or compressed air.
  • Try using a different charging method (if your pen has a micro-USB or USB-C charging port).

3. Test the Pen on Another Device

Try using the HP Pen with another device if possible. This will help you determine if the issue lies with the pen itself or your laptop.

  • If the pen works on another device, the issue could be with your laptop's Bluetooth or stylus settings.
  • If the pen doesn't work on any device, the pen may be faulty and need replacement.

4. Check for Driver or Software Issues

Sometimes the pen may stop working due to software or driver problems. Ensure the latest drivers for the HP Pen and touch screen are installed on your laptop.

  • Update or reinstall the HP Pen driver:
    1. Go to Device Manager (right-click the Start menu and select Device Manager).
    2. Find Human Interface Devices and expand it.
    3. Right-click the HID-compliant touch screen or HID-compliant pen, and select Update Driver.
    4. If updating doesn't help, you can uninstall the driver and then restart your laptop to let Windows reinstall it.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
