Hello . My laptop won't turn on. The last time I used it the screen and keyboard started flashing. When I saw this, I disconnected the adapter and USB connections. I turned off the laptop by holding down the power button. When I tried to turn it on later, it did not turn on. When I plug in the adapter, I can see the orange light, but when I press the power button, nothing happens. I don't know what to do. I need your help.

@MuratCan77, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding no boot issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
This issue could be related to a power failure, motherboard issue, or static charge buildup. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power adapter and remove all external peripherals (USB drives, external monitors, etc.).
- Press and hold the power button for 30-60 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Plug the adapter back in and try turning on the laptop.
Check for Power and Battery Issues
- Ensure the power adapter is working by testing it with another compatible HP laptop (if available).
- If possible, remove the battery (if it's removable) and try turning on the laptop with only the power adapter.
Inspect LED and Charging Indicators
- Since the orange light appears when plugging in the adapter, it indicates charging, but if there are no other LED lights when pressing the power button, it could mean a deeper hardware issue.
- If the Caps Lock key blinks or there are beep codes, note the pattern, as it indicates hardware failures.
Try a Different Power Source
- Plug the adapter into a different wall outlet.
- If using a surge protector or power strip, bypass it and connect directly to the wall socket.
Check for Display Issues
- Try shining a flashlight on the screen while pressing the power button—if you see a faint image, the display might be faulty.
- Connect the laptop to an external monitor via HDMI to check if there's an output.
Attempt BIOS Recovery (If Possible)
- Turn off the laptop.
- Press and hold Windows + B (or Windows + V on some models), then press the power button for 2-3 seconds and release it while still holding the keys.
- If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the instructions to recover the BIOS.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
