Hello,

My laptop started to just go to sleep whenever the lid is moved forward or backward without reaching the threshold at which it sleeps. I tried switching the setting in the Control Panel to "do nothing" and it now only shuts the screen with the device still working. I have to move it a bit till it turns back on. Based on that, It looks like it's a hardware issue but I couldn't know if the sleep switch is located in the hinge or anywhere else in this hp laptop. Any helpful information?

Thanks,

Ahmed.

@Ahmed_93,

Having had this issue myself a while ago, I found these steps (for me step number 2) solved my issue: https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/fix-computer-keeps-going-to-sleep-issue-easily/.

Kind Regards,
