Hi @shubbhamm,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Your diagnosis sounds spot-on:
✔ Fan bearing issue → explains the noise and vibration.
✔ Dried thermal paste → likely if the laptop has been used heavily for gaming or long sessions.
Since you’re out of warranty, here’s the recommended approach and practical advice:
✅ What You Should Do
1. Confirm the issue:
- Run HP Hardware Diagnostics:
- Restart → Press Esc repeatedly → F2 → Component Tests → Fan Test.
- If it fails, fan replacement is needed.
2. BIOS Restore:
- Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
- Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
- Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
3. Clean Vents:
Please check the vents if clear or clean the vents.
Keep the Pc on a flat surface and test.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
