Hi community - First post for me,
I have recently noticed that my 4 year old HP Omen 15-ce0xx (16gb, i7, 1050) has a clicking sound that is heard on the bottom right of the device. I hear this while watching Youtube videos or when opening specific apps. Right now, it is silent while I run a malwarebytes scan which is counterintuative. I had also ran a Seatools for windows scan which shows up that my HD is healthy.
Very strage that my laptop is "Clicking" while running chrome but not with high HD usage apps.
I should divulge that my 8 year old has taken ownership of this laptop to play "Roblox" and has downloaded "JJsploit"
Both win defender and malwarebytes have scanned my drive and seen no viruses.
Does anyone else have a similar experience or can diagnose my issue?
Best regards,
Jack.

Hi there.
Thnaks for trying to help. I followed all your steps but to no avail.
I finally found the solution while I was messing with the volume slider. It turns out that the Bang and Olufsen speakers are blown. That would explain the noise when I open the YT videos.
I followed this guide to fix the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGs1ECDYxFc
Best regards,
Jack.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I have gone through your post and would like to help.
As I understand, you get a clicking sound that is heard on the bottom right from your HP Omen laptop.
I have a few recommendations:
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
If the issue still persists then run the component test using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI to rule out any hardware issues
- Start or restart the computer.
- Press F2 repeatedly during start up to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility.
- Select Component Tests > Run all component test
- Click Run Once.
Once the test completes, results are displayed on the screen.
If all tests pass, continue to restore a computer back to the factory default using Reset PC from windows, which will isolate whether it’s a software or hardware issue.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
