Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey
Well, i admit that i stopped using my HP Pavillion when i got a new computer..

However, i hade used my personal media drive on other computers earlier, and it worked easy, but now (several years later) i was gonna use it on my Win 10 computer, and the computer doesnt recognize it, and it only appears in the device manager for a few seconds, and dissappears again...

Is my OS simply too... "advanced" to use a Personal media drive?

@Bastionheart,

Welcome to HP Support Forums!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the HP media drive is not showing up when connected to your computer.

Don't worry I'll be glad to help you.

I would suggest you try the steps provided below and check if it helps.

Method 1:

I would suggest here is to Run Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Download and install the troubleshooter from this link.

Now try to perform Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Hardware devices are not working or are not detected in Windows:
