I understand you are facing a battery issue with your HP Notebook - 15-Da0018cy battery dies after 5 minutes. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To replace the battery in your HP Notebook 15-Da0018cy, follow these steps:
If you are comfortable opening the laptop then please try the below steps
Tools Needed:
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Plastic opening tool (optional)
Steps to Replace the Battery:
Power Off and Unplug:
- Shut down your laptop and disconnect the power adapter.
- Disconnect any other peripherals (e.g., mouse, keyboard, external drives).
Remove the Back Cover:
- Place the laptop on a soft surface, such as a towel or cloth, to avoid scratches.
- Turn the laptop upside down.
- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove all the screws securing the back cover.
- Keep track of the screws as they may vary in size and length.
Open the Back Cover:
- Use a plastic opening tool to gently open the back cover. Start from one corner and work your way around the edges.
- Be cautious not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the plastic clips.
Locate the Battery:
- Once the back cover is removed, locate the battery. It is a rectangular component and usually placed near the bottom of the laptop.
Disconnect the Battery:
- Identify the battery connector attached to the motherboard.
- Carefully disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard by pulling it straight out. Be gentle to avoid damaging the connector.
Remove the Battery:
- Remove any screws securing the battery in place.
- Lift the battery out of the laptop.
Install the New Battery:
- Place the new battery into the slot where the old battery was.
- Secure the battery with the screws you removed earlier.
- Reconnect the battery cable to the motherboard.
Reassemble the Laptop:
- Place the back cover back onto the laptop.
- Press around the edges to ensure the cover snaps back into place.
- Reinsert and tighten all the screws to secure the back cover.
Power On and Test:
- Reconnect the power adapter and turn on your laptop.
- Check if the new battery is recognized and charging properly.
- Allow the battery to charge fully and test its performance.
