@Titas7, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds really frustrating to have your HP Pavilion 14-ce3065tu battery drain from 100% to 0% in just 2 minutes. Based on the latest guidance from HP and Windows 11 support communities, here are some urgent steps you can take to diagnose and potentially fix the issue:

Check Battery Health

  • Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  • Run this command:

  powercfg /batteryreport

  • This generates a battery report at: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\battery-report.html. Open it and check:
    • Design Capacity vs Full Charge Capacity.
    • If Full Charge Capacity is drastically lower, your battery may be physically degraded.

Update BIOS and Drivers

  • Go to HP Support Assistant and install it.
  • Use it to:
    • Update BIOS.
    • Update chipset and battery-related drivers.
  • Also, run Windows Update:
Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Reset Battery Drivers

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Batteries.
  • Right-click on:
    • Microsoft AC Adapter
    • Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
  • Choose Uninstall device for both.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall them automatically.

Calibrate the Battery

  • Charge to 100%.
  • Let it discharge completely until the laptop shuts down.
  • Leave it off for 5+ hours.
  • Charge it back to 100% without interruption.

Power Settings Optimization

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & battery.
  • Set Power Mode to Best power efficiency.
  • Enable Battery Saver.
  • Disable background apps:
Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Background apps.

Check for Malware or Background Processes

  • Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  • Look for high CPU or disk usage apps.
  • Run a full scan using Windows Defender or a trusted antivirus.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
