Hello.
I accidentally spilled water on my laptop yesterday. I cleaned up the extra water immediately, searched for some help online, and put my laptop off thanks to the advice I saw online.
Some time later I put my laptop back on and I heard white noise and the red mute light will not go off, so my laptop's audio wouldn't work.
I then shut down my laptop and left it in a tent position since that time.
I turned my laptop on this morning and the red mute light was turned off but ther8still no audio. My laptop is mute, and every time I switch the mute button off and on, I hear white noise for a second but no audio.
When I checked "Audio inputs and outputs" in device manager, the speker icon had no sound waves shown in front of it (it's not lined in), and it's the same scenario for "Sound video and game controller", but the little speaker icon at the extreme right of the taskbar shows sound waves in front of it (it's lined in).
Is there a way I can fix the laptop myself? Or do I have to take it to a professional?
