I have tried playing some games on my computer, and one of the games keeps quitting because it has higher demand on graphics than the rest. After spending some time looking into why this is happening, I found out that my Nvidia GPU doesn't show up in the apps and features in settings.
Every time I try to download the correct NVIDIA drivers (NVIDIA Geforce 940M), it tells me I need to update Windows even though it is up to date, or I don't have the correct hardware.

For some reason specs say that model only has Intel graphics.

Does the nVidia graphics hardware show up in device manager? You should not use the drivers from the nVidia site; you should use the ones from the HP site.
The latest HP driver is for the 1709 Build of Windows 10; what do you have?
