I am having a low data transfer speed to my USB drives via this notebook. The read speed of the drive are fine but writing the data to the drive takes a lot of time. Moreover, this problem is only with this notebook. The drive write speed is faster on my pc.
(PS: my pc has USB 2.0 and notebook USB 3). I have run crystal disk test of my notebook HDD and my USB drives. In real-world usage, I have used Teracopy software. But still, it takes more than 30 min for a 4gb transfer. Earlier my notebook had an issue with my HDD running at 100% at ideal. IT was partially solved by following the solution given to by community members.
They had asked me to change certain values in cmd, bios, reg, ext I have linked the previous issue https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Hard-Disk-Always-working-at-10...

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I see that experiencing slow data transfer speed,
To get the answer to this question, the flash drive writes and "stores" the data slower than the transfer rate.
Note: it’s highly recommended for all of you to extract and backup current files and data on your USB drive to another safe location or storage device.
Let's try this steps:
- Plug in the USB flash drive
- Open the Start Menu/Screen (Windows key)
- Type Computer and press Enter
- Locate the USB flash drive and right-click it to select Properties
- Click the Hardware tab
- Highlight the USB flash drive
- Click the Properties button
- Under the General tab, click Change Settings
- Click the Policies tab
- Select Better performance and click OK
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.
I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I agree with you it could be an issue with a USB drive. As I've mentioned earlier the flash drive writes and "stores" the data slower than the transfer rate.
I can suggest you try using a higher storage (32gb or 64gb) USB flash drive or external hard drive to check the transfer speed.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

It is a 32 GB drive with better performance enabled. In NTFS. I have also tested my another drive with 32 GB it was almost similar to previous. However I will test my external hard disk and post the results.
