hi there
for about 2 or 3 months now by fingerprint scanner and facial recognition have not been working, also my laptops wifi is being dodgy as i cant watch microsoft stream videos without them buffering every 2 minutes (connected to same network on my samsung phone , and it doesnt buffer at all there).
any advice on how to solve these issues. and yes- ive tried restarting and turning off and on!!

HI,
Do you have the HP Support Assistant installed? If you do, check for driver update availability.
Otherwise, the drivers for your notebook are available at the support portal for your notebook at the hyperlink below.
Reinstall the latest Synaptics Fingerprint sensor driver and then set up the fingerprint login again.
The driver you need is at the hyperlink below

I suggest running a bandwidth test on your internet connection. You can also do that with your phone, but be aware that they are two different device types. Are you certain that you aren't using some of your mobile data to get that smooth streaming on your phone?
