Hi,

When you attach the charger does the charging led come on?

Is the PC under warranty?

You could try a power reset. Here is how this is done:

Let me know,

Ive tried a power reset for laptops with non removable battery but this did not fix the problem.

There is no charging light when the charger is plugged in. But the charger works on other hp laptops. The kaptop is 15 months old and is under an extended warranty.  Is there anything else i can do to try to fix the issue?

If the led is not coming on it means no current is reaching motherboard and not much else you can do without opening the laptop. Since the PVC is under warranty, you should contact HP support directly. In the link below you can insert the serial number of notebook to get contact options in Australia.
