I understand your issue with the “@” key not working on your keyboard. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the Keyboard Layout Setting

On Windows, go to Settings → Time & Language → Language & Region.

Make sure the keyboard layout is set to US or UK, not an unintended layout.

Try Using Shift + 2 or Alt Gr + Q

On US keyboards, Shift + 2 produces “@”.

On some international keyboards, Alt Gr + Q gives the “@” symbol.

Test the Key in Multiple Applications

Try typing the “@” in Notepad, browser, and Word.

If it works in some apps but not others, the issue may be software-related.

Check for Sticky Keys or Language Hotkeys

Press Shift a few times to reset modifier keys.

Ensure no key is stuck or accidentally toggled.

Use the On-Screen Keyboard for Verification

Search “On-Screen Keyboard” and try pressing “@” there.

If it works on-screen but not physically, the key might be faulty.

Restart the PC

A reboot resets keyboard drivers and clears temporary glitches.

Disconnect and Reconnect the Keyboard (If External)

Remove the USB/Bluetooth keyboard and reconnect it.

Check if the key responds after reconnecting.
