Hi @kudro,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Hard Reset:

  • Power off the laptop completely.
  • Disconnect any peripherals (USB devices, external monitors, etc.).
  • Remove the power cable and, if possible, the battery (if your laptop allows).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable (and battery, if removed), and try powering it on again.

Check for External Damage:

  • Ensure there is no visible damage to the laptop, such as a loose monitor connection or damaged keyboard.

Safe Mode Boot:

  • If possible, try booting into Safe Mode.
  • Power on the laptop and repeatedly press F8 or Shift + F8 during startup to access the Advanced Boot Options.
  • Select Safe Mode and see if the laptop becomes responsive.

BIOS/UEFI Reset:

  • Access the BIOS/UEFI by pressing Esc, F2, or F10 during startup (the exact key may vary).
  • Once in the BIOS, look for an option to reset to default settings.
  • Save changes and exit.

Repair Installation:

  • If you have a Windows installation media (USB/DVD), you can boot from it and choose 'Repair your computer.'
  • Follow on-screen instructions to perform a startup repair.

External Monitor Check:

  • Connect the laptop to an external monitor to see if the display issue is limited to the internal screen.

I hope this helps.
