Hi @Tayyab3131,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Victus 15 might be experiencing a software issue preventing it from shutting down properly. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check for Updates: Make sure your operating system and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs that cause issues like this.
  • Power Settings: Review your power settings to ensure there isn't anything configured to restart the computer after shutdown. You can find these settings in the Control Panel or Settings app, depending on your version of Windows.
  • Update BIOS/UEFI: Check if there are any updates available for your laptop's BIOS or UEFI firmware. HP often releases updates to address issues like this.
  • Check for Malware: Run a full scan with your antivirus software to rule out any malware or malicious software causing the issue.
  • Disable Fast Startup: Sometimes, the Fast Startup feature can cause issues with shutdown. You can disable this feature in the Power Options settings.
  • Perform a Clean Boot: Try performing a clean boot to determine if a third-party application is causing the problem. This will help isolate the issue to either a system process or a third-party application.
  • Reset Windows: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you may need to consider resetting Windows to its default settings. This will reinstall Windows while keeping your personal files intact.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
