my HP laptop shows that its charging but it is not charging.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

First, check the charging cable and adapter for any damage and try a different power outlet. Clean the charging port for any dust or debris. 

 

Next, check the battery health using your laptop’s diagnostic tools and update the battery drivers in Device Manager. 

 

Perform a hard reset by removing the battery (if possible), unplugging the charger, holding the power button for 15-30 seconds, and then reconnecting everything.
