@Vanshika29, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Pavilion laptop

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since your query pertains to an HP Pavilion laptop, here's what you can do to address battery issues:

Battery Calibration: Sometimes, your laptop battery might need recalibration. To do this:

  • Charge your laptop fully to 100%.
  • Use your laptop on battery power until it completely drains and shuts down.
  • Recharge it to 100% without interruptions.

Check Battery Health: Use HP’s hardware diagnostics utility to check the battery’s health. This can help determine if the battery is the problem or if there is something else.

Update Drivers: Ensure that your system’s BIOS and battery drivers are up to date. HP Support Assistant can help you find and install any necessary updates.

Remove External Devices: Sometimes external peripherals can interfere with normal functioning. Disconnect any USB devices and restart your laptop.

Hard Reset: Perform a hard reset by shutting down your laptop, unplugging it, and removing the battery (if removable). Hold the power button down for about 15 seconds, reinsert the battery, and plug it back in.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
