Hi @82827,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!

It sounds like your laptop is turning on (since the fan is working), but the screen isn't displaying anything. Let's try to narrow down the issue. Please answer few of these questions:
- Is the screen completely blank, or does it show any faint image, such as a dim backlight or some color?
- Does the laptop show any lights on the keyboard (like the Caps Lock light)? Does pressing the power button again cause any reaction?
- Have you tried connecting the laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI or another cable to see if the image shows up there?
- When you power on the laptop, do you hear the usual startup sounds (e.g., Windows or startup chime)?
- Have you recently dropped the laptop or noticed any physical damage to the screen or body?
- Is the laptop overheating, or has it been acting strangely before this issue started?
- When you power on the laptop, does the screen flash briefly, or does the backlight flicker at all?
- Do you notice any error beeps or patterns when you try to start the laptop?
Answering these might help pinpoint the cause!
We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!
Regards,
Garp_Senchau
