My laptop case is literally coming apart at the seams. It still works fine. I rarely move it from my desk but about a month ago, I decided to do some research while watching TV. When I picked up the laptop to carry it to our living room, I noticed a gap at the right front corner (the part of the keyboard closest to me) of the laptop of about a quarter of an inch. The keyboard is now bowed like it is swelling up inside. Since then the touchpad has risen above the level of the keyboard by about a 64th of an inch. the laptop is out of warranty but this looks like some obviously shoddy workmanship. I have seen other posts about this. Is HP doing anything to rectify this issue?

Hi @VikingBA
The issue is probably that the battery is swollen, and the battery needs to be replaced before the keyboard continues to deform.
