I would suggest to search by HP part number, I cannot gaurantee that any part other than HP part surely work. But I think what you suggested should work. No promises.

Go through page 2 in the manual, upto 8gb max upgradeable. Get exact configuration, speed, voltage module as given in manual.

i download teh manual but i found nothing usfull on page 2 and the manual  have 148 page i can't read them all for just a cpu 😞 ...
