- My laptop is bending pretty bad

My laptop has a pretty major bend across its chassis. It's working fine, for now, but I don't think it will last much longer. The battery will explode eventually. Now, I had this laptop for almost 2 years now, so 1) it is out of warranty and 2) it's a pretty new laptop, and I haven't used it in any ''abnormal'' way. This shouldn't happen.
Am I totally screwed? Or there's something HP can/should do in this case?

You must remove the battery from the computer to prevent more damage.
There is no other solution.
All batteries die, some do so quietly and some first inflate and then fail.
If your battery has not yet failed, it will do so and likely sooner rather than later.

"Fat" Battery / Bloated Battery / Swollen Battery – Sealed / Internal Battery
- Swollen battery might be hiding OR there might be evidence that the battery has inflated. For example, notebook case is warped, touchpad stops working, “odd” bulging near the keyboard.
- If the battery is in a swollen or bloated condition, the battery must be removed from the computer and replaced. There are no other remedies, tests, or useful options.
