Hp pavillion x360 convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm having the same issue but worse. My hp x360 keeps typing the letter p everywhere.  If you hit startup it automatically starts typing p, same thing when you open Google. Also, it just keeps moving on it's own. Scrolling up and down and when you play a movie it just keeps pausing and playing  etc. The cursor keys  (right and left) stopped working but works with a mouse, My laptop was perfectly fine last night but upon resuming at work this morning, it just started going crazy.

Please help... typing from my mobile currently.

@C_v,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you check the letter P key on the keyboard as it seems stuck based on your description.

Try popping up the P key and test and if you continue facing the issue, then uninstall the keyboard driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
