Hello sir, I have been using my laptop for four years. Model: HP 15 Notebook PC, Product ID: L2Z89PA#ACJ. I like this laptop. But previous year, I noticed my laptop keyboard didn't work correctly. It automatically pressed some buttons. Finally I contacted hp support and they gave me some suggestions. Though these were not worked. So I bought and replaced a new keyboard from the retailer, where I bought this laptop.
And now the new keyboard is also not working. So I thought it is also got broken like the previous keyboard. But the keyboard is still good. Also I set my old keyboard removing the new and it works. But sometime it is working wrong such as all numeric keys don't work, automatically pressed backspace, ctrl+a, ctrl+c are not working etc.
I think my all keyboards are good, only the problem is with the motherboard, probably where the keyboard is joined with the motherboard. This is the problem and I am typing this whole message using Microsoft on-screen-keyboard.
I went to my retailer and they said that the warranty has expired. So they can't help anymore. I thought hp is the best company on laptop or desktop. But my assumption is wrong. Still I love hp and I suggest my friends to buy hp products.
So how can I check my motherboard or how can anyone help me to find the solutions?
Please help me sir.

Thank you sir for your reply. Sorry sir there were not any liquid split or water drop on the Notebook Keyboard. I always take care of my laptop. There were no Dust settled on the Notebook Keyboard. Also no keys are loose, all are perfect.

I have bought it from retailer on 8th May, 2015. I know the warranty has expired. But hp has to improve there products and facilities. Where I live, there are no hp support service.
My address (City- Raiganj, State- West Bengal, Country- India.)
and hp service (City- Malda, State- West Bengal, Country- India), 90 KM far from my home.
So hp needs to improve.
My device has all updated drivers. But I don't know how to update BIOS. My BIOS version is F.32 (Jul 2014 probably).
I have restarted my laptop many times and pressing ESC or other F9, F11 etc. But not works.
Finally I connected an external keyboard via USB and all are perfect. No problem causes. But sometimes automatically pressing like "b", "-", "Backspace" etc. It was disgusting.
So someone suggested me to remove the connection of the internal keyboard so that it never press any button automatically. I did it and now no problem. 🙂🙂🙂 Now I am happy.
Though I love internal keyboard. Can the internal keyboard can be repaired? If yes, the how?
Also how to update BIOS of my laptop? Is it safe? Give me some details.

Hey there! @BishalKarmakar,
1. Have you tried checking with an external keyboard does the issue persist?
2. Was there any liquid split on the Notebook Keyboard?
3. Is there any Dust settled on the Notebook Keyboard?
4. Are there any Keys which are fallen off / Any Keys which are loose?
Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.
Try updating the BIOS and other drivers on the PC to the latest version and check if it helps.
You can try updating the drivers using HP support assistant.
Refer this article to know more information about using the HP support assistant. Click Here
Also, restart your PC keep tapping the F11 key on your PC before the PC boots, you will see the recovery manager screen.
Open the command prompt from the list and check if all the keys on your PC are functioning correctly.
Try few steps recommended below.
Turn off the computer and then restart it.
Press the Esc key repeatedly to see if a startup menu opens.
If a setup menu does not open, the integrated keyboard hardware is not working. The integrated keyboard in the notebook should be serviced or replaced. To continue using the notebook, connect a USB-wired keyboard to a USB port and restart the computer.
If a setup menu opens, use the arrow keys to navigate the menus. If these keys are working in the startup menu, but then fail when Windows loads, the problems might be related to the keyboard software.
Restart the computer.
In Device Manager, uninstall and reinstall the keyboard software:
In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard device name, then select Uninstall to remove the device from Windows.
Continue removing device names in the Keyboards category until all device names have been uninstalled.
Restart the notebook. Right-click Start (), select Shut down or sign out, then select Restart.
Wait for the computer to restart and open Windows.
Also, Turn off Filter Keys
Filter Keys is a feature that is designed to ignore brief or repeated keystrokes, and according to users, this feature is turned on by default on their laptops, and that’s what’s causing the keyboard issue.
Go to Control Panel and open Ease of Access Center.
Scroll down and select Make the keyboard easier to use option.
Scroll down and locate Filter Keys option. Make sure that Turn on Filter Keys option is not checked.
After turning off this option, click Apply and OK to save changes.
