My laptop lags a lot. I'm looking to upgrade my storage from hdd to ssd. I want to know which type of ssd can i use and will this increase the performance of my pc substantially?

Hi:

 

Your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's.

 

You can either retain the 2.5" drive and use it for storage or remove it and just use the NVMe SSD.

 

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

Your notebook supports a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe SSD.

 

Look into one of the Western Digital Blue SN570 models.

 

It should really boost the drive's performance.

 

I suggest that while you are in there, to add another 4 GB of memory.
