My HP Spectre x360 14inch laptop randomly shuts down out of nowhere but only on battery, when charging it does not shutdown at all. I have tried almost every text ipdate bios, When it shuts down the power button is unresponsive and I have to plug the power supply for a sec to get the power button working again to power it on.

@Tamer_S, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check Battery Health
HP laptops include a battery diagnostic tool:
Turn off the laptop.
Press Esc repeatedly right after powering it on, until the Startup Menu appears.
Press F2 for System Diagnostics.
Run the Battery Test.
Look for signs of battery degradation. If it shows "replace battery" or significantly degraded capacity, that could explain it.
Use HP Support Assistant Battery Check
Open HP Support Assistant (install it if not present).
Run the Battery Check under “Battery and performance”.
This may give a more detailed health assessment.
Power Drain
This is key, especially if the power button only works again after plugging in the charger.
Do this:
Shut down the laptop.
Unplug the charger and disconnect peripherals.
Hold the power button for 15–30 seconds.
Plug in the charger and try to boot.
Update Battery Drivers
Open Device Manager.
Under Batteries, right-click and update:
Microsoft AC Adapter
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
Also, uninstall them and reboot to force Windows to reinstall clean versions.
Firmware/Battery Controller Issue
Update: firmware and BIOS.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
