my laptop (model 14-cd0073TU), has recently received a crack in the screen, near the top right hand corner. But now with a part of the crack extending further across the screen.
I have contacted multiple IT people who specialise in screen replacement and it seems itll cost $350+, i was wondering if there is a cheaper option, especially as my laptop is still under warranty. I understand that accidents like this may not/are not covered by the warranty, though.
But, is it possible to buy a laptop screen replacement (which presumably would be through HP) and then just pay someone to install it? Or does HP replace the laptop screens for a cheaper price then what i have been quoted?
Thankyou.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06006377
It needs part # L20555-001 which is N/A from HP now as shown
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=4LG39PA
Therefore you have to buy part elsewhere, for example
https://www.amazon.com/BLISS-Screen-Replacement-14M-CD0001DX-14M-CD0003DX/dp/B07Y46D21B
And hope you can find a repairer to do this for you, I don't know how much they charge for an 1 hour job.
Regards.
