My laptop show primary internal error 601 battery error when I open. I tried to renew the battery but I still get the message on my screen

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The HP error 601 typically means the laptop's primary (internal) battery has a very low storage capacity, potentially below 25% of its original capacity.

Please try a BIOS Restore, and if still getting the 601 error, try to update the BIOS and run a battery test from the HP Support assistant tool.

BIOS Restore :
1) Shut down the computer, keep the  charger plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.  
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.  
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK
