My laptop (14-cm0015ax) won't turn on. I still have to plug it in in order to power it on. After that, I can use the laptop unplugged without any problem. I have also recently replaced the dead battery. There is also a message that says "CMOS checksum is invalid... CMOS reset (502)" when I open the laptop. Here are the things I did but did not work:
- I have tried resetting and updating my bios but after a brief time, the system date will reset when I turn it on again.
- I also asked the shop where I bought the new battery to replace it to see if there are any problems with the new laptop battery.
- I tried opening the laptop and replace the CMOS, but the laptop's motherboard has no CMOS battery inside. the motherboard model is hp 84A3, a bit old motherboard for laptops. I also can't find the picture or the parts of this motherboard.
I am considering fixing this myself unless it is a board-level issue since the repairs are costly.

Your laptop uses current from the main battery for the CMOS. You have probably noticed that the date and time do not stay set.
Your battery, based on your description of the issue has reached the end of its service life and should be replaced with a new one.
Here is the description and part number for the replacement battery
(3-cell, 48 Whr, 4.212 Ahr) L11119-855

See YouTube for a tutorial showing how to replace the main battery. The video below is from the same model series as yours.

Yeah I just got the battery replaced by a brand new one. I even replaced it twice to make sure that the battery swapped was not the problem. Here's the battery that was swapped and can you maybe tell me if this was an appropriate battery?

Take a look in the manual that I provided in the parts list section for the battery part number.
