HP EliteDesk 705 G1 Desktop Mini PC

My mini PC didn't come with cables I think I need a VGA - hdmi (converter?) to connect to my external monitor for display and some kind of power cable? Can anybody help guide me to the correct cables? It has USB for keyboard and mouse.

I believe this is your system here.

The maintenance and service guide is here

page 8 shows graphic and display ports  plus others

Do not use VGA, use the display port connector to your monitor

If you have not bought a monitor then get a used VGA from goodwill.  Usually the VGA come with audio line in.

If you already have an HDMI monitor or TV set  then you need a display port to hdmi adapter.

Do not use a Display Port cable, use an adapter right at the PC.

Display Port cables can have a pin 20 problem

Thanks yes I have a portable monitor with hdmi. Does it matter what power cable I get? Says on the back 19.5 VDC and 4.62 amps.

Go to the below site and enter your serial number and look for the power adapter

https://partsurfer.hp.com/

Some HP system have a "smart charger" and the pc or laptop may refuse to charge if it does not see a "genuine hp" charger.

use the adapter part number to search for a charger.  Aliexpress may have one or possibly local services.

Thanks, I found the product model no. And serial number of the power cord after doing a search. Should be able to send that to my retailer and get the right part/power cable for it.
