Hey there! I have a problem connecting my dockstation G5 with my monitor. I own 2 laptops and on one of them everything works smoothly (display, keyboard and powering). But when I try to connect it to my HPs laptop for some reason works only keyboard. I tried all kind of updates from windows to dockstation, display drivers everything... I also tried tests through HP hardware diagnostics but was unsucessfull. I also tried switching project on windows from duplicate, extend, only 2nd screen and it didnt change a thing. Honestly I have no idea what could it be, its a bit dissapointing that devices from the same manufacturer doesn't connect like they should.

That depends on the model of the laptop ( What is it?) , the model is important because if you do not have USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort you can not use external monitor.

As you can see in the following link it does not support USB-C DisplayPort, it is only for data,

If you have problems with HDMI on your laptop (HDMI laptop to HDMI Monitor,), you should check the graphics driver.
