Hi,
i have the HP Pavilion x360 convertible and my mouse/touchpad has completely stopped working. At first it would happen sometimes, then more often. Eventually I had to restart my computer for it to work. It eventually wouldn’t work even with restarting it, so I reset my entire laptop. Still didn’t work. My warranty has expired and I am a graduate student who needs do to lots of work. So this is rather inconvenient. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Rissa-12,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your laptop's mouse/touchpad is not working, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Restart your computer: Sometimes a simple restart can solve the problem. Restart your laptop and see if the touchpad starts working again.
- Check if the touchpad is disabled: Some laptops have a touchpad on/off button or a keyboard shortcut that can disable the touchpad. Make sure the touchpad is not disabled by pressing the button or shortcut.
- Check touchpad settings: Open the Settings app and go to Devices > Touchpad. Make sure the touchpad is turned on and that the touchpad settings are configured as you prefer.
- Update touchpad drivers: Outdated or corrupted touchpad drivers can cause the touchpad to stop working. To update the drivers, go to the HP website, enter your laptop model, and download the latest touchpad driver. Install the driver and restart your laptop.
- Check for hardware issues: If the above steps do not solve the problem, it's possible that the touchpad hardware is faulty.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
