I have laptop : HP 15-g002ax Notebook with amd processor, REV: 22CE-100.
It shows that it have 2 ram slots and one of 4gb and second is nill.
But I cannot find the second ram slot inside. Is it non customer upgradable?
I've also read the document for hp 15 notebook pc but it didn't help either since they haven't mentioned my product specifically in memory section.
I want to upgrade my ram to 8gb as it's ram max capacity so,
1. How can I use this second ram slot ?
2. Should I go for 8gb ram instead(8gb*1) ?

There only one DRAM slot.
Crucial Memory makes guaranteed compatible memory for your notebook and sells it in India. See the links below this one.

in India (your location according to the HP forum)

(Ram is not as you suggested because it wasn't available at my local comp shop)

Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit Ubuntu? 32 bit will never see more than 4 gb of memory. Also just because your shop does not have the right RAM does not change compatibility requirements. What did you install?
