Salem,
I have a HP laptop (14s-fq0117nf). It had two ram sticks 4gb each. I have changed them to two DDR4-3200 8gb each. The issue is it only recognizes one of them so now instead of having 16 GB of ram I only have 8
Ps: both the slots and the stick are well functioning I have tested all of them

Are the installed upgrade soDimm modules absolutely identical or did you use different brands?
Do they both meet the following specifications?
DDR4-3200 • CL=22 • NON-ECC • SODIMM • 260-pin • 1.2V • 2Rx8/1Rx8 • PC4-25600
There are also a few other causal possibilities.
a bad soDIMM module
a failed soDIMM slot
