Hi @shadi00000

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for reaching out—when your HP pen stops responding on Windows 11, it can feel like your touchscreen superpower just vanished.

Let’s walk through a few targeted steps to help identify what’s going wrong and get it working again.

🧪 Step 1: Check Battery and Power

  • If your pen uses a AAAA battery, unscrew the cap and replace it with a fresh one.
  • For rechargeable pens, plug it into a USB-C charger for at least 30 minutes.
  • Look for a charging LED—if it doesn’t light up, try a different cable or port.

🔄 Step 2: Confirm Compatibility and Connection

  • Some HP pens don’t use Bluetooth—they work only when close to the screen.
  • If your pen does support Bluetooth:
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Remove the pen if listed, then press and hold the top button until the LED blinks.
    • Click Add device and re-pair it.

🧰 Step 3: Update Drivers and Firmware

  • Visit the HP Pen Troubleshooting page.
  • Download the latest firmware, pen control software, and touchscreen drivers for your device.
  • Restart your PC after installation.

🧼 Step 4: Reset HID and Touch Drivers

  1. Press Windows + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices.
  3. Right-click HID-compliant pen and choose Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your PC—Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

🧠 Step 5: Calibrate and Test

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
  • Make sure pen input is enabled.
  • Try writing in Windows Ink Workspace or Microsoft Whiteboard to test responsiveness.

Let me know your pen model or what you've tried so far—I’ll tailor the next steps to your setup and help you get back to writing, sketching, or navigating like a pro!
