Hello!

During games, the laptop drops the frequency to 0.6 GHz. With this, the processor temperature hit around 60 degrees. On average, this happens every 2-3 minutes for 5-10 seconds.

I did a stress test of the system in aida64 to make sure that drawdowns were always hit.

First, thinking that some process is loading the system in the background. Launched the dispatcher in the background, no unnecessary processes were hit.

Reinstalled drivers, Windows. It did not help, the problem appears when working in all applications (even if they did not load the processor by half).

Installed an application from Intel (Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility), did not change any settings, just looked at the processor. Very often, a message about trotting appeared, despite the fact that the processor was not beaten by anything other than this application.

I tried to look for a solution to this problem on the Internet. They advised to turn off the turbo boost of the processor when launching heavy applications by lowering the processor's performance to 99% in the power settings of Windows. However, because of this, the performance is greatly reduced, and the drawdowns have not disappeared (only the interval between them has increased).

I reviewed your post and I understand that the CPU frequency is dropping to 0.6GHz when using the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

BIOS: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp112501-113000/sp112700.exe

Nvidia: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111501-112000/sp111668.exe

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Good evening.
I did what you told me to do, but the problem persists. He still continues to drop the frequency, but now down to 0.4 GHz.

The indicators on the left display information taken from the graph (at the moment shown by the blue line).

The processor temperature in this segment does not exceed 65 degrees.

I do not understand the reasons why he drops the frequency.

P. S. Also, I want to know the reason why my fans always spin at the same speed (they did not accelerate when the processor temperature reached 60 degrees. Power settings: maximum performance; minimum performance 50%; maximum performance 100%; cooling mode: active).
