Hi , I purchased my laptop brand new on the 5th of January 2021 and the warranty runs out in august so I only have 7 months remaining when my warranty should finish on the 4th of January 2022 how do I get HP to adjust the dates for the warranty also I have proof of purchase and the dates to proof this ?? Thanks

Did you register your purchase? When computers are built they have to assign a default start date and shipping date is used for that. Once a device is purchase and registered, the warranty dates are adjusted to reflect that newer date. You can contact customer support to get the dates updated. Go to support.hp.com and create an account and start a case.
