My laptop does not charge. There is flashing orange light when connected to charger. It use to say plugged in but not charging. Now battery drained out and unable to power up.

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

Have you tried to use a different compatible charger and check if it helps? Alternatively, have you tried to use it on a different wall outlet.

Is it the power light on the power button or the place where the charger plugs into the laptop (charging light) is flashing. 

 

While you respond, let's try these steps here: 

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out. If the battery is integrated and does not have a latch to release it then leave the battery inside the laptop.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.
