Pavilion g6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop says "HP Battery  Alert. The system has detected the storage capacity stated below to be very low. For optimal performance, this battery may need to be replaced. Primary (internal) Battery (601)".

My laptop does not charge, even though the adapter plug is plugged in. It says "plugged in, not charging".

What at do I do? Do I need to buy a new battery and where please?  Is the battery that is being referred to, the removable battery at the back of the laptop?

  • HINT: To see a system-specific list, enter your Serial Number in place of the Product Number.
  • Items accompanied by a tiny box in the Add-to-Cart column are available for purchase.
