NEED A NEW BATTERY

I need a new battery. My laptop is HP PAVILLION LAPTOP MODEL 15-CS 2016N, PROD ID 7GV67EA #ABU. Without opening the laptop will not know the battery I should buy from HP. Please help. I have to buy it and have it changed.

The operating system is 

WINDOWS 10, VERSION 22H2

Chapter 3 of the service manual indicates that HP offered two different model batteries for the 15-cs2xxx model series.

4-cell 68 Whr   HP part # L32654-005

3-cell, 41 Whr  HP part # L11119-855

Enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the battery part number and description of the battery HP installed in your notebook.

The part number might be different than what is listed in the service manual, but the main thing you want to know is if your notebook came with the 3-cell or 4-cell battery.

Then you can search by the HP part numbers found in the service manual.

Your model was equipped with the 3-cell battery and it appears that because of the internal configuration, a 4-cell would not fit.
