Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I  have already upgraded my memory to the max 16ga and i need more as i am working with Word and a almost 1,000 page document with thousand of photos. Can I add a 1 T SSD internal (like the NvMe drive, 80MM) using the SSD as extra memory? Or something better to get me the extra memory without buying a new computer?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

16 GB RAM should be more than sufficient for working with Word, Excel etc.. Only if you are into high end intensive gaming then you will require more RAM

Having said that you can try increasing the Virtual Memory on the computer to help with the performance

Virtual memory, also known as the swap file, uses part of your hard drive to effectively expand your RAM, allowing you to run more programs than it could otherwise handle.
